Abscisse is the deployment of a provisional structure, a research on the precision of the gesture and the balance of forces in tension. It is a question of vertical and horizontal, of elevation and reversal, of demolition and rebirth. Three performers, three ladders, ropes and pieces of wood are the elements of this architectural fiction.
With Abscisse we explore Tensegrity as a building principle: "islands of compression in an ocean of traction" (R. Buckminster Fuller).
